Location
The Whittington Estate is in the Dartmouth Park Conservation area and is 10 minutes walk from Hampstead Heath and Highgate Village with it’s café culture.
The estate is on tree lined Dartmouth Park Hill which has some traffic in the rush hour but apart from that is fairly quiet.
The Whittington Hospital is opposite but there is little noise as the main entrance is on Magdala Avenue and the ambulance entrance is on Highgate Hill on the other side of the hospital. The hospital has an Accident & Emergency department.
Waterlow Park is nearby and has children's play areas, duck ponds, tennis courts and Lauderdale House which serves teas, coffees, snacks and lunches.
Hampstead Heath is 10 minutes walk and has tennis courts, swimming ponds, cafés and concerts at Kenwood House in the summer.
Shops and facilities
Archway has banks, shops, cafés and supermarkets also dentists, hairdressers, dry cleaners and pubs.
Swain's lane has shops, cafés and pubs.
Highgate Village has banks, shops, cafés, pubs and a garden centre.
